As promised, I'm back with the review for Gucci's "The State vs. Radric Davis". Survey says, BURRR! BURRR! BURRR!...Gucci is "Stevie Wonder this winter, he does not see you fucks!" As I try to contain my excitement, I must say Gucci has "did the damn thang" on this album. Opening with the "Classical" banger, the track gave me instant chills, no pun intended. Perhaps my opinion is a little bias; I mean other than his war against chap stick, Gucci can do no wrong in my eyes.
Seriously tho, I believe that Gucci Mane has established himself in the commercial rap game without going too commercial. Having finally gained long-overdue respect in the industry, Gucci's album includes features from Lil Wayne, Cam'ron, Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, Bun B, E-40, Keyshia Cole, Nicki Minaj, Booby V, Trina, Usher, and the whole 1017 Brick Squad crew. While a couple of the tracks seem to drag a bit, I'd give the album an overall thumbs up. Past the obvious "wasted" track, a few of my fav's are "classical", "worst enemy","heavy","stupid wild", and "kush is my cologne".
With that being said, Jeezy, I know you came at Gucci on that 24-23 track and I'ma let you finish, but Gucci is having the best year of all time. *swings chain and snatches the mic*
