#BasicBitchGameProper Part II

"Jesus what do we have here now?"...I really hope she's not the one raising our children. I don't even have any jokes for this one. I'll leave that to y'all. Cue the #killyoself's....

The Centaur Extinct???

Every so often, my friends and I sit around like old people talking about how the generations after us are getting dumber and dumber (usually our younger siblings are the topic of discussion).I mean wtf, it's like they "want us to walk for them" *Jay-Z voice*. Sometimes I hate being right....In ever-so-depressing news today, I took a look at this year's America's Best High School List expecting to see my alma mater (City Honors School) near the top where we've always been. Can anybody say EPIC FAIL?! City Honors, who ranked #12 last year and #4 the year before, has now slid from the very top to the very bottom (#90) like a Body Tap skripper.

So I ask, where do we point the finger? Is it these dumb reckless ass kids ruining the name of my beloved school? Or the parents that let Lil Wayne and Real Chance at Love raise their kids? Maybe its the teachers that said "ef this y'all aren't paying me enough to care." Maybe its a combo of all three. But can we really blame the kids? I mean it takes a village to raise a child right? Hell I don't know. I just know my kids better not be lil' dumb asses. I kid. I kid.

But seriously I ask, what the hell are we gonna do to help our children? I mean do you really want Generation Y flying your plane when you're old and retired trying take a trip to Florida to catch a tan?

Product Review: "DJ Play That Shit!"

Just wanted to quickly share one of my new favorite things with the masses. DJ Hero has got to be the coolest shit since drive-thru liquor stores in the south! Thanks to DJ T-Roxx (lil sis), I spent every free moment during my trip to Buffalo pretending like I was warming up to dj Jay-Z's 40th birthday party. The mixers are ridiculous (the Jay-Z/Tupac track is my personal fav) and the features are Supr addictive. If you don't have it yet, make sure you go cop that! *singing 'all I want for x-mas' out loud* *wink wink*

Recount Over Now STFD & STFU!

One of these things is not like the other

So in "All Black Everything" news: the recount for Atlanta's mayoral race was completed today per Mary Norwood and camp's request. No big surprise that Kasim Reed still won (by a small margin of 714 votes), I mean after all it seems like we are winning at everything these days (no Tiger). We won't be stopped! *take that, take that*(Diddy voice). So hey Mary Norwood, I know you're real salty right now, and I'ma let you finish, but black people are having the biggest wins of all time! OF ALL TIME! *shrugs shoulders & drops mic*

"If You're a Single Laddyyy..."

Just so y'all don't think I went to "slit my wrists the long way" (@RatedTANGO voice) after that last post, I just wanted to let y'all know AGAIN that I'm loving life right now. I mean realistically, I'm more of a relationship type person, but I'm really getting the hang of this single shit *Verse Simmonds on repeat*. I eat good, drink good, I'm well "sponsored", pockets full, and I party hardy! Shit ain't half bad! "Life's a bitch, but damn she's fine!"

Do you enjoy the single life or the relationship life more?

Speaking of "X-Factor"

As I sit on my couch alone (don't worry I'm not touching myself) at 2am, I think to myself, "man fuck that n*gga...he ain't shit anyway...damn I miss that man". So excuse my language but 'why the fuck is it so hard to let go'? I mean 9 times out of 10 y'all aren't together for a reason. He/she cheated, y'all grew apart, shit was too stressful, he/she cheated, he/she cheated, etc...Either way, the shit wasn't meant to be...Or was it?

For me, probably not. I guess. But for everyone else, when is it ok to go back? If the answer is never, then when the hell do you get over the ex? For the most part, you just miss the thought of being in a 'ship. You had a sure fire movie/dinner/sex date, now you scroll down the contacts and point your finger *eyes closed*. You could status update or tweet about the wonderful time you were having in your miserable ass...i mean, beautiful relationship. Hell y'all might have even took a few trips together. But really, were you happy?

You're probably sitting there wishing he/she would see what they had and know that they fucked up. Their loss. You can't wait to hear them say it to you one day so you can go back, or be a spiteful bitch and bite back by shooting that too-little-too-late shit down. After all, that would make you feel better right? WRONG!

Grow up! Either give in and love her/him or let that shit go and love you. Your right. They lost. But you're lost. #worriedboutthewrongshit One of the best ways to find yourself is by yourself. Well at least in my book. So I say that to say, it took a while, but I'm loving life right now and so should you! Fine as hell and single! Fuck a 'ship! I think.........X-Factor.

"Who The Kids Gon' Listen To?"

As I was browsing one of my favorite blog sites- theLIFEfiles.com, I ran across this pic of Lauryn Hill "out and about"...Instant depression. Past the fact that she looks like she's been picking up all of her threads from the nearest Goodwill, I thought to myself, "Damn, now who the kids gon' listen to?" (Kanye voice). As a proud 80's baby, I must say I've been privy to some of the best. It touches my heart every time I hear a 4yr old reciting the lines from a classic, timeless, Michael Jackson song. And that Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is still talkin' to me. *hits repeat button on "X-Factor"*

I mean I love a good "Oh Leh Do It" & "All the Way Turnt Up" as much as the next pretty lush in the club, but when that wretched...i mean, blessed day comes, and I'm raising my child(ren)...who on earth will they listen to?? Is it just me or do they not make music like they used to? *shudders at the thought of talking like an old person*
